About Naam Jap Voice Counter
Empowering daily spiritual practice with mindful, modern, and distraction-conscious technology.
Our Sacred Mission
Naam Jap Voice Counter was created to support spiritual practitioners, sadhakas, and mindfulness seekers with a calm and simple counting tool.
In traditional practice, holding a mala is sacred and time-tested. However, while walking, resting, or sitting peacefully, handling physical beads or repeatedly looking at a bright phone screen may interrupt concentration.
Our goal is to make counting less distracting so that practitioners can give more attention to their mantra, breath, and inner focus.
What Makes Our Tool Useful?
- Voice-first simplicity: Speak your mantra naturally and let the browser attempt to recognize repetitions.
- Privacy-conscious design: The website is designed not to store your voice recordings. Voice recognition behavior may still depend on your browser and its speech-recognition provider.
- Multiple scripts: You can enter mantras using Roman text or supported Indian scripts, depending on the feature and browser being used.
- Zen / Dhyan mode: Use a minimal interface with fewer visual distractions during your practice.
- Offline support: Previously cached pages and application resources may remain available without an internet connection. Offline availability depends on your browser and device.
- Touch & Auto counting option: When voice recognition is unavailable or inaccurate, you can continue your practice using the Touch & Auto Counter.
Our Core Principles
We believe spiritual tools should be created with reverence, honesty, simplicity, and respect for the practitioner’s attention.
- Simple: Features should be easy to understand and use.
- Respectful: The interface should support a peaceful practice.
- Accessible: The tool should work across as many devices and browsers as reasonably possible.
- Transparent: Limitations of voice recognition and offline features should be clearly communicated.
Devotional Commitment & Non-Commercial Spirit
This application is maintained by passionate devotees and open-source engineers with the pure goal of seva (service to the spiritual community). We do not record your chanting audio, sell user analytics, or restrict basic counting tools behind paywalls.
A Note on Practice
Naam Jap Voice Counter is a practice aid, not a replacement for personal spiritual guidance, a traditional mala, or advice from a qualified professional.
Use whichever method helps you remain sincere, steady, and attentive during your daily sadhana.
